GET TO KNOW ELLIS LAW, PLLC
Nate Ellis grew up in Santa Cruz, California. After high school, Nate attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University while serving in the U.S. Air Force Reserves as Crew Chief on aerial refueling aircraft. In 2004 he graduated with a B.S. in Professional Aeronautics with Minors in Business Administration and Aviation Safety. And, while in school, he gained his FAA Private Pilot and A&P Mechanic licenses.
After completing his undergraduate studies, Nate worked primarily in the Public Works contracting, and defense and aviation industries. In 2010 he had the opportunity to move to Missoula, Montana, to work for Neptune Aviation as a crew chief on its legacy and next-generation aerial firefighting aircraft.
Nate then attended the University of Montana School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 2016 with high honors. While in law school Nate clerked for Williams Law Firm and participated in the judicial clinic with the United States District Court in Missoula.
Following graduation, Nate spent several years defending insured individuals, contractors, and other small businesses from personal injury, breach of contract, and other tort claims. Later, his practice shifted to defending SIU/Fraudulent claims made by dishonest attorneys, medical providers, and plaintiffs, before returning to a business and real estate litigation practice. Prior to opening Ellis Law, PLLC, in September of 2021, Nate was employed as the HR Director and In-House Counsel for a Public Works General Engineering Construction Company.
Nate is admitted to the State Bar of Montana, the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
In his free time Nate enjoys camping with his family, riding and repairing motorcycles, and drinking local beer.
